Lesson 4: Things to Watch Out For When Picking a Plan

Got a pretty good idea where you fit in on the health care continuum?

Good, now for the "buts". (You knew they were coming!)

One big catch is that, for a lot of people, a few (or a lot) of these options simply won't be available, due to any number of factors (where you live, what you do for a living, your age, your medical history, etc). You may have compromise on your first choice just make a match with what's available.

The second catch is cost, cost, cost. (You knew this was coming too!)

Some of us can't afford indemnity coverage. Just like a lot of us can't afford to carry a $100 deductible, no matter how safe it would make us feel.

And that's why tomorrow is all about choosing a policy that adequately balances cost with coverage.
